Overview

Targeted Victory is seeking a Manager to join our Media Insights & Activation team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong communications background and a strong interest in bringing a tech-forward, AI-driven lens to media strategy. We are looking for candidates who not only track media but also understand how narratives form, spread, and impact policy, business, and reputation, and who can translate those dynamics into clear guidance for decision-makers. Applicants must be able to work in person at our Arlington, VA office.

Responsibilities

  • Guide media intelligence efforts by overseeing monitoring of national, state, and local media—traditional, digital, and social—to identify narratives, emerging risks, and opportunities for clients
  • Leverage AI and analytics tools to surface real-time insights, streamline reporting, and anticipate reputational risks
  • Manage client deliverables by directing the development of high-quality reports, briefings, and research products that tie data and insights directly to communications and policy objectives
  • Shape and support activation strategies by working closely with other internal teams to ensure deliverables and monitoring insights are fully integrated into campaign execution
  • Stay sharp in fast-moving cycles by responding rapidly to breaking news, including evenings and weekends as needed, with actionable updates for stakeholders

Qualifications

This position is for individuals who are self-starters driven to follow new marketing trends and opportunities, and should have:

  • 2-3 years of professional experience in communications, public affairs, media relations, or digital strategy—experience on Capitol Hill, political campaigns, or public affairs firms strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects, people, and client expectations under tight deadlines.
  • Strong writing and storytelling skills, with an ability to translate data into compelling narrative insights.
  • Comfort with AI, media monitoring platforms, and analytics tools—or the curiosity and drive to master them quickly.
  • Collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills and a client-first mindset.
  • Flexibility to thrive in fast-paced, non-traditional work hours.
