Targeted Victory is seeking a strategic communications professional with experience in public affairs, media relations, and integrated communications campaigns to join us as a Director on the Public Affairs team. This position plays a key role in executing communications and marketing programs for a variety of corporate accounts. The position will work across several clients focusing on leveraging earned, paid, and owned media to execute on client goals. Applicants must be able to work in person at our Arlington, VA office.
Developing and executing strategic communications and marketing programs for a wide range of corporate clients
Leveraging earned, paid, and owned media to advance client objectives
Drafting media and messaging materials, such as press releases, talking points, media statements, opinion pieces, and briefers
Developing presentations, collateral materials, strategic plans and other reports
Prepare and present client-facing reports and memos
Tracking and monitoring campaign deliverables and serving as a project manager for key accounts
Handle multiple projects at a time while meeting client deadlines
Oversee day-to-day activities for multiple clients with the assistance of several support team members
Minimum of five+ years of previous political or communications experience in a Capitol Hill office or in a campaign or agency environment
Previous management experience preferred
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Working knowledge of current media landscape
Strong media relationships and experience engaging with reporters and producers
Ability to meet client deadlines
Ability to navigate high-pressure situations
Team player, leader, and eager to help where needed
Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously
Strong time management and problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
